Launch instructions
Step by step setup for DayZ Lite — clear, fast, and built for first-time launch.
Install DirectX
Download and install DirectX SDK (June 2009).
Install C++ Redistributable
Download and install the latest versions of Visual C++ Redistributable.
Install .NET Framework
Download and install .NET Framework.
Disable Windows Defender
Download the file and run it as administrator. In the window that opens, click «Disable Windows Defender». Check that the procedure was successful: Press the Win key and type «Windows Security» in the search bar, in the left panel select «Virus & threat protection», the text «No active antivirus provider» should appear.
Disable core isolation
Press the Win key and type "Windows Security" in the search bar. In the left panel, select "Device Security", then click "Core isolation details" in the listed components. In the window that opens, toggle the switch under "Memory integrity".
Disable driver blocklist
Download the file and run win11_driver_OFF.reg. Confirm the registry change by clicking «Yes» in the pop-up window. Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.
Restart PC
Restart your PC to apply the changes.
Close prohibited programs
Before launching, close all programs listed in the user agreement. Running them alongside our software is prohibited.
Install our launcher
Go to your account profile and open the «Downloads» section. Find «Medusa Launcher» and click «Download».
First launch
Launch the launcher and enter your key in the «License key» field. You can find your key in your account dashboard under «Subscriptions».
Issues
Critical error occurred
A critical error has occurred in the program. Sometimes the message appears but does not affect functionality — in that case, you can ignore it or click «Ignore». If the error affects the program's operation — contact support.
